KIKO Velvet Mat Lipstick | review



Hello!

Today i'm writing about the lipstick that instantly caught my attention when i got into KIKO!

PACKAGING

Can we talk about how gorgeous this lipstick's packaging is? It's so different to every other lipstick i've seen and it is rose gold, which is just too beautiful! It is opened by pressig the top of the lipstick and i love that as it is a little more tricky than others which makes it perfect for travelling because it won't open in your bag!



TEXTURE

This is a matte lipstick but i do not find it drying at all! I think this formula really is amazing as it looks matte but still keeps your lips moustrised., which not many matte lipsticks do!

STAYING POWER

It has a great staying power, i don't really need to retouch it for a good 4-5 hours and it fades out evenly, so it won't look bad if the colour was fading and you didn't retouch it. It does not last through a meal as it transfers quite a lot which i'm not a big fan of.

SHADE

I got the shade 609 Cherry Red, it is a very autumnal shade and even though i really want to change my makeup look for spring and start wearing more pinkish lipsticks, i couldn't just say no to such a gorgeous shade!
It is a lovely colour and i've worn it a couple times since i got it but i feel like i will use it a lot more in autumn!
There are other 15 shades, with some lovely pinks in the collection, those are probably a lot more appropiate for this season!





PRICE

This lipstick is 6,90 € which is a very good price for such a nice lipstick!

WOULD I BUY THIS AGAIN?

Yes! I am really happy with this lipstick and i really like the shade so i would absolutely repurchase it!

    The packaging of this lipstick is so lovely! I love the lipstick I own for them and I'm hoping the next time I'm at a Kiko store I can pick up more goodies :) xx

    I need to try this lipstick, the colour is gorgeous and KIKO lipsticks are my favourite. I got a nude lipstick of the same range and I'm loving it. xx

    The packaging is definitely my fav thing about them, looks so high end. But then again, I've never actually tried them, so I wouldn't know my fav part! They're so cheap though, definitely will get my hands on one when I'm back in the city!
